Odetta on "The Johnny Cash Show," August 30, 1969. The first song she performs is based on a Negro "field blues" song known simply as "Black Woman," then duets with Cash on "Shame And Scandal In The Family," which was written by a calypso artist who went by Sir Lancelot, in the 40s.

From Nov. 18, 1970, this is one of Maybelle and Sarah Carter's last public performances together. Included are "You Are My Flower" and "I'll Be Satisfied" with the host. Although originally broadcast in color, the copy of the show I have is in black and white, and for this clip it really works.

Here's Shel doing a quick duet with Cash on Silverstein's composition "Boy Named Sue," followed by an incredibly touching solo performance of a children's song he wrote called "Daddy, What If."
